A landmark in Vancouver since the early 1900s, the long red building was converted 1983 into the Vancouver Flea Market (703 Terminal Ave.). Located on the Cloverdale Fairgrounds (60 Avenue & 176 Street), this eclectic market is held every Sunday (except special events and holidays) from 6am to 4pm. With stalls both inside and out, you can find an array of both new and secondhand items, as well as plants and produce from local farms.
This old fashioned car boot sale in Langley (260th Street & Fraser Highway) is a wonderful excuse to hit the road on a sunny Sunday. Located about 45 minutes outside of Vancouver, this sale is held from mid-April to Mid-October from 7am to 4pm, weather permitting.
Considered as one of the largest indoor kids garage sales, this swap meet with over 60 tables will feature toys, gear, clothing for babies and toddlers. Held in a variety of locations throughout the Lower Mainland this fall. Check their Web site for more information on dates and locations.
Fun Promotions: Computer Swap Meets and Collectible Sales
Fun Promotions offers both Collectible Shows and Computer Swap Meets throughout the year. 19th Annual Antique and Collectible Show at Queen’s Park Arena

Held at the Vancouver Public Library (350 West Georgia), this show will feature over 75 tables with dealers from across Canada showcasing everything from Americana to art books to ephemera. Next show TBA.
Held annually at the end of the summer, this two day event features 60 vendors from across B.C., Alberta and even Quebec. It is considered by many to be one of the best antique shows on the West Coast and has become a much-anticipated mecca for seasoned and novice collectors, designers and antiques enthusiasts alike. **Please note no show in 2010.
Held in Abbotsford at the Tradex, this show will feature more than 250 tables with vendors from across Canada. The next show is set for November 5, 6, 2011. Admission is $8 with children 13 and under getting in free when accompanied by an adult. There will also be an antiques identification clinic held on site, $12 per item. Victoria’s Ultimate Hobby and Toy Fair
Held on Vancouver Island, this show features collectible toys, dolls, Barbies, comics, vinyl records, trains, diecast cars, video games and so much more. Shows are held at the Pearkes Rec Centre (3100 Tilicum Road) in Victoria from 9am to 3pm. Admission is $3 with kids getting in for free. There is also an early bird admission from 8amto 9am for $10. Seen as one of the biggest toy shows in Western Canada, this show is held at the Mary Winspear Centre (2243 Beacon Ave) in Sidney BC. 23rd Annual Dogwood Show and Sale
This Vancouver Island show which features antiques and collectibles is held at the Fuller Lake Arena on the Island Highway in Chemainus, B.C. Admission is $5, with children under 16 getting in free. Portobello West brings together Vancouver’s talented artists and designers in an eclectic and often surprising mix 10 months of the year. Held at the Rocky Mountaineer Station in Vancouver, this fashion and art market runs from March to December. Check their Web site for upcoming show details.
