My name is Jo-Anne Lauzer and I live in Vancouver, British Columbia. Originally from Noranda, Quebec I am a huge advocate for all things secondhand and hope to share some of what I have learned about this lifestyle. It is a quirky way to live but a good one.
I had initially started this process with a directory based Web site called Secondhandsavvy.com but I have decided to focus more on the writing…hence now in a blog format. I also used to run secondhand shopping tours, called Secondhand Safaris. As much as I loved doing the tours I have stopped doing them on a regular basis, but will conduct private tours upon request.
I am also a freelance writer and communications consultant. As a freelance writer I am now a regular contributor to The Upper Canadian (a national antiques magazine sold at Chapters/Indigo) and am currently the Frugal Living Examiner for Vancouver. Through my business Savvy Media, my goal as a communication’s consultant is to help entrepreneurs and non-profit organizations successfully communicate who they are and what they do to the people they want to reach.

Hi Jo
Wow! I’m so impressed with your new project. So interesting. I feel inspired by it! I’m looking forward to coming back and checking out those markets I didn’t get to last time.
Wow! Joanne you have done it again. Created a very attractive, appealing place where we can go to find out the ins and outs of mindfully consuming and finding-just about anything. Fantastic!!
Hi, I don’t know if my last email worked so…..
I’m a new collector (wanna Be) and I don’t know if the items I’ve purchased due to a gut feeling, was smart or not. Spending under $30 total for all 12 or so items isn’t bad and they range from “bobblehead Goofy” to “Webkunst EggCup from Austria set in original box and stickers” to figurines. I’d like to submit you some pics for your opinion.
I know it’s alot to ask for from someone who’s just inexperinced but excited about the world of collectibles.
Thank you so much in advance,
Max
Hi, sorry for the delay in getting back to you…but if you are in Vancouver I would suggest that you maybe take some of the items to the show at the Croatian cultural centre this weekend as there will be an appraiser there and for $7/item (up to three items) she will give you an idea of what some of those items might be worth. You can find out more about the show by checking out http://www.21cpromotions.com If you need more information, just let me know.
Hello, I am looking for a vintage Louis Vuitton bag. Must be in decent shape and as clean as possible. Must be authentic. Do u have any??
